WWII Remembrance Network

Where records meet remembrance — and history finds its voice again.

About the Network

The WWII Remembrance Network, established by the Hellships Memorial in Subic Bay, Philippines, is a global initiative dedicated to uniting museums, historical societies, and educational institutions that share a common mission: to preserve and promote the history and human stories of World War II.

Our goal is to ensure that the sacrifices of prisoners of war, civilian internees, and all who endured the global conflict are remembered with dignity and accuracy. Through collaboration, education, and shared remembrance, we work together to keep these histories alive for future generations.

Our Mission

✅ Preserve & Share: Safeguard WWII stories and make them accessible across generations.

✅Collaborate: Unite museums, archives, and historians to advance research and education.
✅Promote Remembrance: Inspire public engagement through exhibits and commemorations.
✅Connect Globally: Build links across borders for mutual understanding and respect.
✅Inspire Learning: Encourage reflection through accurate, human-centered storytelling.

✅ Flexible Participation — Members engage at their own pace and interest level.
