Timothy Beckensall has joined the Hellships Memorial team as Advocate, Australia.
In this role, Tim will:
**Represent the Memorial’s mission across Australia and strengthen ties with veterans’ groups, historians, and families of former POWs;
**Lead outreach and education to raise awareness of the Hellships story;
**Support donor engagement and fundraising initiatives in the region; and
**Serve as a liaison between our Australian community and the Memorial’s leadership in the Philippines.
A little bit about Tim:
Tim is an Australian researcher and community organizer with experience working with veterans’ associations and WWII heritage projects. He has collaborated on archival efforts related to POW transport ships and public commemoration. Tim has a degree in Archaeology and a passion for illuminating the past. He is an active member of the Philippines MIA Search and Recovery Project and is a consultant for the Bamban WW2 Museum.
