 Aboard PT-31 per DeLong’s roster, James D. Culp survived the loss of PT-31 and endured the full arc of the Pacific POW experience.

Wartime Fate

Public POW summaries state that after the loss of his PT boat he joined the defense of Bataan and Corregidor, was captured after Corregidor’s fall on 6 May 1942, and was returned to U.S. military control in August 1945.
